Why viruses aren’t always bad guys!

I think it’s safe to say that most people believe viruses and bacteria are bad, dangerous and something that should be avoided at all cost!

But keep in mind that viruses and bacteria have been with us since the dawn of time, and I’m here to tell you that they have gotten somewhat of a bad rap.

As a matter of fact, many times they are even GOOD guys!

Here’s what I mean.

An inventory of your innards

Your body contains about 37 trillion cells, and while that may sound like a staggeringly big number, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the microbes inside of you, which total about 744 trillion!

Scientists estimate the microbe population in your body is made up of about 40 trillion bacteria and 400 trillion viruses!

The remaining 300 trillion microbes in your innards include fungi, protozoa, parasitic worms, prions and protists (like amoeba).

This may have you feeling the heebie-jeebies right now, but read on.

They’re NOT all bad guys!

While the thought of the ENORMOUS number of microbes you are hosting may be a bit unsettling, the good news is most of them are either not harmful, or possibly even helpful!

For example, your bacterial population is comprised of good and bad species.  The good ones help digest your food, keep your cholesterol under control, protect you against the harmful ones and provide a home for 80 percent of your immune system, among other things.

So even if you do have harmful bacteria lurking inside of you, if your gut and your population of friendly bacteria is strong, they typically won’t cause a problem.

The same can be said for viruses. There are bad viruses and harmless viruses, and scientists even think that some BAD viruses support GOOD health by killing certain harmful bacteria!

Plus even some of the viruses that do make you sick help you in the long run.  For example, viruses like the common cold and the flu attack your weakest, unhealthiest cells—typically those cells that are overloaded with wastes and toxins.

Well, the virus kills the unhealthy cells and they in turn are replaced by new healthy cells!

Be good to your microbes

The key to living in harmony with your village of microbes is to support strong health in your cells, rid your body of wastes and toxins that make you a target for illness to fester, nourish your beneficial bacteria and pamper your immune system!

That way your body’s natural system of balance (homeostasis) can keep harmful microbes at bay, and even if they do rear their ugly heads, you can recover a LOT faster and be on the road to better health.

Here are some very effective measures you can take to achieve these vital goals:

Eat real food.  There is no getting around this.  If you want to keep your cells clean and nourished, stay away from processed foods, fast food, sugars and soda.

Concentrate on wholesome real foods like meats, vegetables, fresh fruits, eggs and healthy fats like olive oil, coconut oil, avocado and real butter.  Also, drink at least 8 glasses of filtered water a day.

Enhance your immune health.  Nothing beats vitamin D when it comes to sharp immune system functioning, but many people are deficient in this crucial nutrient.  Food sources are limited, and many people (especially in the northeast) don’t get enough sun exposure for their bodies to make vitamin D.

That’s why a supplement like Optimum DK Formula with FruiteX-B can be a lifesaver to so many people!  Optimum DK Formula provides a therapeutic 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3, plus vitamins K1 and K2 and the mineral boron—all of which work together to support a strong, sharp immune response.

Encourage better digestion.  Good digestion is vital to help your body eliminate wastes and toxins.  Unfortunately, our typical meals with every kind of food known to man on one plate roll out the red carpet for digestive fireworks.

But when you make your meals simpler and easier for your system to tackle, a whole new world of comfortable, easy digestion can open up for you.

My Great Taste No Pain system teaches you the few simple tweaks you need to make to your meals to create easy, breezy digestion and less gas, bloating, constipation and heartburn.

Note that my two other books also provide this crucial information!  So whether you’ve got gluten issues and use Great Taste No Gluten, or weight loss is your primary goal and you try Want To Lose Weight? Stop Dieting! you’ll still get the awesome benefit of better digestion either way.

Beef up your friendly microbes.  There’s nothing like probiotics to help support a healthy population of friendly bacteria, and Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula is as good as it gets!

Super Shield’s 13 strains of well- studied, potent bacteria get to work immediately to line your gut wall, support digestion, keep harmful bacteria in check and provide a sound home for your immune system.

Help fight yeast overgrowth.  Unfortunately, our typical diets that are high in fast food, soda and refined carbs feed harmful yeasts (Candida) in your gut, leading to overgrowth.  Once Candida grows out of control, it can get into circulation and cause all kinds of health issues.

If you find yourself having repeated UTIs or vaginal yeast infections, or are prone to skin infections or fungal infections on your nails, trust me, Candida overgrowth is the likely culprit.

But Optimal Yeast Support Blend can help fight back against Candida and restore a healthier balance in your microbiome.  Optimal Yeast Support contains a variety of powerful natural antifungal and antimicrobial nutrients and herbs (some that have been used for centuries!) that have been shown to be very effective in counteracting yeast overgrowth!

Use antibiotics ONLY when absolutely necessary.  Antibiotics obliterate your friendly gut flora, and depending on how long you take them and how strong they are, it can take your gut up to a YEAR to recover!  So please, be sure to only take them when needed.

And if you must use antibiotics, be sure you are taking Super Shield (separating the two by at least 2-3 hours) to help rebuild your healthy microbes!

To your healthy, happy microbes,

Sherry Brescia
