Stop & reverse the 5 stages of poor health!

 

In my 30 years in the health and nutrition field, I’ve heard a variety of excuses for someone refusing to change their habits in order to improve their health. 

Things like:

"I don't know how to cook."   
"My husband won't like it if I make healthy meals."  
"I don't have the time."  
"Eating right is too expensive."  

But by far the saddest one I've ever heard is: 

"It's too late for me."   

Because this is an actual belief that many people have, and nothing could be farther from the truth! 

Here's why. 

Let's look at the 5 stages of poor health and see why you can make a difference no matter where you happen to be. 

The 5 stages of poor health 

Stage 1- Acute problems 

At Stage 1, your body is challenged because it's not getting the nutrients it needs from your diet. 

At the same it's also trying to eliminate the wastes created by a poor diet, and detox the residue from the chemicals, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives in the processed foods you’ve eaten.   

Your immune system is compromised, and you get sick a lot--colds, flu or infections of some type. 

But you may just grab some cold medicine or get antibiotics from the doctor and go along your merry way on to... 

Stage 2: Sub-acute problems 

At Stage 2, your body's starting to struggle.  Lacking necessary nutrients is taking a bigger toll now and your immune system is getting weaker.   

Wastes begin accumulating in your tissues because they're too much for your body to eliminate.   

Problems like headaches, back pain, muscle aches, acid reflux and fatigue start to pop up.       

But again, you might just take medications like pain relievers, NSAIDS or antacids, and rely on coffee or energy drinks to keep you going after lunch.   

And if this goes on long enough, you can advance to... 

Stage 3: Chronic problems 

At Stage 3, your body continues to struggle with toxic buildup and not having the nutrients it needs to keep you going, and as a result inflammation is created. 

Your immune system is now waving the white flag of defeat because it absolutely CANNOT provide the disease-protection support that it should anymore.   

At this point, you're probably relying on one or more prescription drugs including acid reducers, high blood pressure drugs, statins, antidepressants or anti-inflammatories.   

But taking meds and continuing to ignore your body's true needs can move you on to... 

Stage 4: Bodily degeneration 

At Stage 4 your tissues begin degenerating.  Your body is now SO nutritionally deficient and overrun with inflammation that it's eating away at its own minerals from your muscles and bones just to survive.    

Your cells die and don't regenerate like they should, which means you can't heal as well from illness or injury.   

You begin having problems in whole bodily systems now--not just various isolated symptoms.  This can include your nervous system, musculoskeletal system, digestive system and circulatory system.   

But sadly, many people at this stage STILL close their ears to their body's cry for help and continue to rely on medications.  And eventually you can arrive at... 

Stage 5. Disability 

The final stage to declining health is disability.  Extensive damage has occurred to your body's organs and tissues, and you can't function very well. 

You may have trouble walking or moving around.  You may not be able to work or care for yourself. 

You might need physical therapy or nursing home care, use a walker or wheelchair, or need oxygen, dialysis, chemotherapy or other services.   

As you would expect, disability frequently ends in death.   

But it's NOT too late! 

The glimmer of hope here is that you can make a difference in your health. 

No matter what stage of declining health you happen to be in! 

Even at the most serious stage 5, you can quite possibly help reverse some of the damage that's been done, feel a whole lot better and perhaps even add years to your life.

1- Get your body the nutrients it needs
