This disease fighter is almost too good to be true!

You know the old saying that goes, “If it sounds too good to be true it probably is”?

Most times that’s sage advice because you may be missing something or getting deceived in some way!

But that’s not always the case.

Because every once in a while, something comes along that really is THAT GOOD and hard as it may be to conceive, it’s the truth!

A perfect example of this is the spice called turmeric.

Although it’s probably best known as the compound that gives the orange tint to Indian curry dishes, this humble little seasoning packs an impressive punch in terms of health benefits from head to toe!

Hang on to your hat—let’s look at…

The (almost) endless health benefits of turmeric

1- Beautiful, healthy skin

Turmeric is a very effective anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.  As such, studies are suggesting that it can help prevent cell damage, curb acne breakouts, support healthy collagen (thereby counteracting aging of your skin) and enhance wound healing.

In addition, turmeric has been shown to help treat other skin issues including psoriasis!

2- Eases joint pain

Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties are a superstar here too and can help ease the pain associated with inflammatory conditions like arthritis.

As a matter of fact, some studies have shown it to be MORE effective at reducing joint swelling and tenderness than diclofenac sodium—an NSAID that is a common arthritis medication!

3- Helps improve mood

A review of six studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association found that turmeric was effective at reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety within just four to eight weeks!

And one study found that at the six-week mark it was found to be equally effective as Prozac—without all the dangerous side effects!

Although this is impressive, it’s no mystery.  Studies are showing that inflammation and depression are closely linked.  Since turmeric helps reduce inflammation, it can help with mental health too!

Plus turmeric can also help increase your body’s level of DHA, which is an Omega-3 fatty acid that is vital for proper brain function.

4- Weight loss

Turmeric has been shown in studies to help boost fat-burning!

In addition, in an animal study conducted at York University, turmeric was shown to help limit weight gain and the growth of fat tissue in rats.

5- Fights autoimmune inflammation

Turmeric can help relieve inflammation by blocking the activity of several enzymes involved in the immune system’s inflammatory process.

This is especially important to people with autoimmune conditions such as Crohn’s, colitis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and MS—all diseases that are characterized by chronic inflammation and an immune system in overdrive.

6- Blood sugar control

Research shows that turmeric can help maintain proper blood sugar levels by increasing insulin secretion by the pancreas and supporting the absorption of glucose out of the bloodstream into the cells.

One study found turmeric to be comparable to the diabetes drug metformin in terms of lowering blood sugar!

7- Supports healthy cholesterol levels

This is yet another area where turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties shine.

Contrary to the old, debunked hypothesis that saturated fat gums up your arteries and raises your cholesterol, the real force behind atherosclerosis and high cholesterol is inflammation (many times from a diet high in sugar, refined carbs and processed vegetable oils).

Turmeric eases inflammation and in turn can encourage healthy cholesterol levels.

8- Helps with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease

Turmeric is a potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective agent, and is said to promote improved cognitive function, potentially helping people with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

9- Aids with your liver’s detox efforts

Every day, we are exposed to environmental and dietary toxins—it’s basically unavoidable. These chemical substances don’t belong in the human body and are often causes or contributing factors behind inflammation and increased cancer risk.

It’s the job of your liver (with the help of the kidneys) to pull these chemicals and toxins out of circulation and put them in your urine and feces to be eliminated.

Unfortunately, when faced with a chemical onslaught day in and day out (especially from processed foods, soda, pesticides, herbicides, toxic cleaning and personal care products and even medications), your poor liver may be waiving the white flag of defeat.

But turmeric can help support your liver in efficiently detoxifying your body and fighting off the effects of these chemicals.

10. Fights H. pylori (the bacteria that causes most ulcers)

The antibacterial properties of curcumin are nothing short of impressive as well, as it has been shown to be effective against gastritis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer, which are all caused by Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) bacteria.

11. Protects against most other diseases too!

Most diseases have their roots in inflammation, so instead of waiting for health problems to appear and then merely controlling symptoms with medication, it’s much better to get a handle on inflammation to help prevent sickness and disease from popping up in the first place!

Turmeric’s superstar anti-inflammatory action can help you work toward this important, possibly life-saving goal.

Unleash the power of turmeric!

If you want to unleash the awesome power of turmeric to support your health goals, look no farther than our Optimal Turmeric Blend.

There are many turmeric supplements out there, but they are not all created equal!  Experts state that a quality supplement should contain at least 500 milligrams of curcumin per dose and should be fully standardized to 95 percent curcuminoids.

The best supplements should also contain black pepper fruit extract, which helps enhance absorption of the soothing turmeric.

And Optimal Turmeric Blend fits the bill in all cases!  And the turmeric is organic to boot!

Why not give it a try and see all that it can do for you?

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • Hello Ann,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Are you taking your turmeric with or without food? Many people take it on an empty stomach, 30 minutes (or more) before food.

You may wish to decrease the dose from the suggested two capsules per day, to just one capsule per day.

We look forward to your reply! You can also reach out to us anytime at: support@holisticblends.com
