Despite all our advances in medical testing and surgery, and the plethora of medications that are prescribed left and right, the fact remains that a whopping 92.1 million Americans (1 out of 3 of us) has some form of heart disease.
Sorry, but I don’t call that a healthcare success. We’ve failed miserably and it’s time to figure out why.
And the best place to start is to look at a culture where heart disease (and other health challenges) are virtually non-existent…
Meet the Tsimane
There is a tribe of about 16,000 people in Bolivia called the Tsimane (pronounced “chee-may-nay”) that enjoys extraordinary health, including the absence of heart disease (even in the elderly!), plus obesity is unheard of.
That’s a far cry from our disgusting statistics.
They are also reportedly a very happy people, so depression is unknown as well.
And here? We pop antidepressants like candy.
So what’s the difference?
Their diet and lifestyle, my friend.
The Tsimane exist mainly on wild animals (including pigs), fish, root vegetables and nuts, and they drink rainwater.
So in other words, they eat real (unprocessed) foods, and drink water that has not been tainted with chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals and heaven knows what else.
In addition, they take an average of 16,000 steps a day, versus our meager 3,000-5,000.
And most importantly, pharma is non-existent down there in the Bolivian forest.
Their “drugs” are instead nutrients from healthy foods.
Learn a lesson from the Tsimane
I think it’s time we learned a lesson from this simple little tribe that absolutely kicks our butts in terms of health.
Now, I don’t expect you to hop a plane to Bolivia and start hunting wild pigs! Here are three helpful steps you can take right here and now:
Step 1: Eat for health
If you eat processed junk and fast food, you will be sick and overweight. Period.
What has worsened our nutritional ignorance is that many doctors to this day tell patients that their diet doesn’t matter. That’s as ridiculous as saying it doesn’t matter if you put gas in your car—it should run just fine with Coca-Cola in the gas tank instead.
But the great news is no matter where you’re starting from, improving your diet will most assuredly have a positive effect on your health!
The more you gravitate toward wholesome real foods the more your body will thank you with things like less constipation, gas and bloating, more energy and less heartburn.
Eventually as your body becomes “cleaner” and properly nourished, you can also see things like better sleep, fewer aches and pains, clearer skin, improved moods and even lower blood pressure.

Also, strive to drink water that has had some form of filtration.
Step 2: Supplement appropriately
Very few supplements are needed by everyone. Our biochemical individuality makes us different so very seldom will two people have the exact same needs.
But there are two supplements that are the exceptions to this rule:
Probiotics and a good multi-vitamin.
Probiotics like Super Shield are universally helpful because we ALL face challenges to our gut flora balance which can in turn hamper our digestion and impair our immune system functioning—two things that have a major impact on our health from head to toe!
Super Shield’s full-spectrum formula provides a therapeutic blend of 13 probiotic strains, each of which has its own unique specialty in how it enhances your health.
And as far as multi-vitamins go, it used to be that only people who suspected deficiencies needed to take a multi, but that’s all changed.
Our food is not as nutritious as it used to be, plus factors like stress and medication use can affect your body’s ability to absorb and use nutrients from your foods, so our reality today is that a top-quality multi-vitamin and mineral formula like Super Core is a good idea for just about everyone.
Plus Super Core has the added benefit of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories, so it provides support against disease-causing free radicals and inflammation too!
Step 3: MOVE
There is no getting around it—if you want anything that even resembles health, you must get regular exercise.
No excuses! You have the time.
Make it fun! Do something you like, and if you don’t like any form of exercise, then at least walk. Just about everybody can do that. Be sure to get your doctor’s OK first.
Now you are truly on the path to better health!
To your health,
Sherry Brescia
