Do you eat these cancer fighting foods?

Very few words cause as much fear and dread.

And while some cancers are the result of genetics or environmental factors, by and large the majority are caused by DIET!

Studies have shown repeatedly that sugar feeds cancer and that diet high in refined salt (especially in processed or fast foods) increases your cancer risk, yet I still see people’s carts loaded with cookies, chips, boxed dinners, white bread and soda at the grocery store, and the line of cars outside of the McDonald’s drive-thru window is always a mile long.

But the good news here is just as eating the wrong foods can increase your cancer risk, eating the right foods can help protect you against it!

Here is a list of foods that really pack a cancer-prevention punch:

Exceptional cancer-fighting foods

Alfalfa sprouts—help detox the body and contain phytoestrogens that block certain cancers.

Almonds—contain phytosterols that help fight cancer and lower cholesterol.

Apples—literally “keep the doctor away” by promoting healthy gut flora and reducing your risk of heart disease and certain cancers.

Asparagus—high in glutathione, an anti-carcinogen.

Beans and legumes—contain a compound (diosgenin) that stops cancer cells from multiplying and isoflavones that help prevent against heart disease and cancer.

Berries—their ellagic acid is a potent antioxidant, it blocks activation of carcinogens and helps keep DNA from mutating (which is how cancer “starts”).

Cabbage family—inhibit cancer formation and protect against digestive and respiratory system cancers.

Carrots—help support elimination of wastes and are an anti-carcinogen.

Citrus fruits—contain a whopping 58 known anticancer agents!

Fennel—a natural anti-carcinogen.

Fermented foods—help your body produce natural antibiotics and anti-carcinogen compounds.  Good choices here are sauerkraut, kefir, yogurt, kimchee, apple cider vinegar, miso, tempeh and tamari.

Garlic—its sulfur compounds inhibit tumor metabolism and enhance immune responses.

Ghee (clarified butter)—a natural anti-carcinogen.

Melons—their beta-carotene is a natural anti-carcinogen.

Mushrooms—are anti-carcinogenic and help stimulate the immune system.

Onions—help lower cholesterol and are a strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antiviral, anti-parasitic and anti-carcinogen!

Parsley—a natural anti-carcinogen, plus it also helps to purify the blood, regulate the bowels and supports your kidneys, liver and gallbladder.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Incorporating more of these cancer-fighting superstars into your diet will go a L-O-N-G way in protecting you, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Here are 4 other very important measures you can take to help keep our #2 killer far away from you:

1) Get enough vitamin D

Nothing beats vitamin D when it comes to cancer prevention.

Your body manufactures vitamin D when your skin is exposed to the sun, but the average person does not produce enough for their body’s needs.  This is especially true of people in the northern hemisphere where sunlight is limited during the colder months.

The best way to ensure you have (truly health-supporting) levels is to supplement with a top-quality product like Optimum DK Formula with FruiteX-B.

Optimum DK Formula contains a whopping therapeutic 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3, as well as its partners vitamins K1 and K2 and the mineral boron.  All of these nutrients work together to not only protect you from cancer but also heart disease, as well as enhance your bone and immune health.

2) Have a wholesome diet of real foods

The National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society estimate that at least 30-35 percent of all cancers are related to a poor diet!

So if you exist mainly on processed stuff and fast food, it’s time to change that…your health and life may just depend on it.

The great news is, having a healthy diet is not only easy, but it tastes great too!

If you follow the Great Taste No Pain health system.

Great Taste No Pain will show you how to create healthful, nutritious meals (featuring many of the anti-cancer foods I mentioned earlier) that are not only positively delicious, but are also easier for your system to break down.

When your digestion is accomplished more thoroughly, not only will you be helping to eliminate toxic waste build-up, but you'll also help maximize your body's absorption of cancer-fighting nutrients from your foods.

And you can say goodbye to heartburn, gas and constipation to boot!

3)  Support your gut microbiome

A strong immune system is vital in the fight against cancer.  Your immune cells are constantly on alert for cells that could develop into cancer, and when they see one, they engulf and destroy it.

Well, since 70 percent of your immune system resides in the beneficial bacteria in your gut, it's essential to make sure yours are healthy and in the proper balance.

In addition to limiting sugars and refined carbs, probiotic supplementation can help you achieve this important, possibly life-saving goal.

And Super Shield's 13 strains of friendly bacteria are up to this potentially life-saving task!

As soon as they arrive "on the scene," Super Shield's impressive "army" lines your intestinal walls, crowds out unhealthy bacteria, and helps keep your digestion smooth (so carcinogens and dangerous bacteria can be eliminated with your BMs instead of becoming a part of you).

This will support a healthy gut microbiome and help build a strong, cancer-fighting immune system!

4) Exercise regularly

Regular exercise helps rid your body of wastes, and since cancer needs a toxic environment to thrive, when you exercise and help keep your innards clean, you are putting out a "No Vacancy" sign for cancer!

Make the time for it.  Even brisk walking is helpful and just about everyone can do that.

Just be sure to get your doctor’s OK first.

Now you are armed with the information you need to keep cancer far away from you!

To your health,

Sherry Brescia
