A Subtle Health Sign You Shouldn’t Ignore

Just a reminder that the office is closed this week with Danielle out of town. Regular operations will resume on June 30th in the afternoon. All orders will begin to ship in the order in which they were received and messages will be addressed in the same manner.

If you’ve been a reader of mine even for a short time, you probably recall me talking about the many ways your body tries to tell you something is wrong.

Pain, insomnia, rashes and skin issues, fatigue, weight loss or gain, hair loss, brittle nails and headaches are all classic signs that there may be a health issue brewing.

But it’s important to note that your body will also try to let you know when something is RIGHT!

For instance, if you sleep like a baby at night, have consistent energy levels, enjoy normal blood pressure, can exercise without discomfort, maintain a healthy bodyweight and rarely get colds or flu, those are all signs that your body is working like it’s supposed to!

In addition, there’s another subtle “thumbs up” sign that your body may be giving you that you might not even pick up on, but it’s an indication that you have good, sound digestion.

“Ghost poops.”

Here’s the scoop on ghost poop:

Ghost poops—it’s what you DON’T see that counts

I’ve often talked about looking in the toilet after a BM and seeing how your products of excrement “measure up.”

There’s even the Bristol Stool Scale which breaks BMs down into 7 categories of type, shape and texture that help you determine whether you are dealing with constipation, diarrhea, or relatively normal bowel habits.

But ghost poops are different because it’s primarily what you don’t see that counts.

Ghost poops are simply when you are able to wipe once after a BM and see no residue on the toilet tissue.

No need to use half a roll of TP, no smearing, and no floaters or rabbit pellets either! Ghost poops typically fall into Category 4 on the Bristol Stool Scale which describes a BM as: “Like a sausage or snake, smooth and soft, and easily sinks to the bottom of the bowl.”

Any ghosts floating around you?

I would presume you know where you stand and how much Charmin you have to buy at the store each week but know this: Ghost poops should be your goal!

I know, it might sound strange—I thought it did at first too!

About 30 years ago I read an article by a natural health practitioner who said that you should be able to enjoy regular bowel movements and never have a need to wipe more than once afterward, and at first I thought, “Yeah, right.”

I was healing from IBS at the time and certainly my bathroom experiences from the past were not pleasant.

But once I eliminated my IBS (through my diet and probiotic supplementation) and began to experience “ghost poops” I realized how much sense it made!

Your path to ghost poops!

Efficient digestion and having ghost poops will help you reap numerous health benefits including enjoying high energy levels, better sleep, maintaining your weight (or taking off excess weight), eliminating heartburn, gas and bloating, better nutrient absorption, fewer skin problems, less pain and even brightening your mood!

And the good news is you too can achieve ghost poops!

You just need to help your body along in these 3 ways:

Make its job easier with your diet

When you make your GI tract’s job easier, you are paving the way for super-efficient digestion and ghostly BMs!

This involves having a diet of nutritious real foods and pairing the right foods together to pave the way for tip-top digestion.

I can help you accomplish both of those important goals with the Great Taste No Pain system.

In Great Taste No Pain, I show you which foods to pair together (and which combinations to avoid at all cost!) to help encourage comfortable, easy digestion!

Plus Great Taste No Pain includes a collection of my luscious easy recipes featuring nutritious wholesome foods. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how delicious eating healthy foods can be!

(BTW, this is precisely how I eliminated my IBS 30 years ago after being fired by my gastroenterologist for refusing to take his pills.)

Support your gut microbiome

Your beneficial gut bacteria help break down starches and fiber and support the integrity of your gut wall, so having a strong population of them is crucial.

Unfortunately, factors like stress, refined carbs and sugars, medications and constipation can throw your gut flora balance off, creating an environment that favors harmful bacteria and impairing your digestion.

But supplementation with a top-notch probiotic like Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula can help bring your gut microbiome back into a healthier balance, which in turn will support proper digestion (as well as strong immune function!).

Super Shield’s full-spectrum blend of 13 potent, well-studied probiotic strains can work to repopulate the friendly microbes in both your small and large intestines, helping to maintain a strong gut wall, enhance nutrient absorption and of course, pave the way for regular calls from Nature and clean toilet paper!

Get an enzyme boost if needed

Many people are on the verge of digestive enzyme deficiency and don’t even know it.

This is especially true of people over 50, those who have had gastric or gallbladder surgery, people who use acid reducers or people who have had a longstanding diet of processed or fast foods.

If you suspect enzyme challenges may be an issue for you, a complete enzyme supplement like Digestizol Max can pinch-hit where your body needs help and encourage more complete, thorough digestion.

Digestizol Max’s blend of 15 effective plant-derived enzymes can help your body break down literally whatever you eat, and pave the way for comfortable, complete digestion.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia
