Goodbye purple pills! 5 ways to stay heartburn-free

Ever notice there’s a pattern of fantasy and reality when it comes to medications?

What I mean is that the manufacturers promise a magical, effortless “end result” (whether that be lower cholesterol, less pain, lower A1C, etc.) and show happy, attractive people in their commercials enjoying life.  That’s the fantasy.

The reality is quite a different picture—peppered with side effects, many of which can be debilitating and/or require more medications to counteract them!

And they’re anything BUT “magic.”  Medications achieve their intended result by interfering with, suppressing or otherwise altering one or more of your body’s natural processes or functions.

And if that goes on long enough, eventually the piper will need to be paid.

Acid reducers are a perfect example of this!

The effects of shutting down your stomach’s ability to secrete acid go WAAYYY beyond messing up your digestion of proteins.  (Note that this can lead to even worse heartburn, which I find very ironic.)

Now it’s coming out that they can and do increase your risk of heart attack, Alzheimer’s, chronic kidney disease, fractures and your overall death risk.

But if you’re bothered by heartburn and think that dangerous purple pills, Tums, Rolaids or chalky drinks are the only answer, I’m happy to say that you couldn’t be more wrong.

Because there are 5 very safe, effective ways to completely eradicate heartburn—not by suppressing stomach acid or otherwise assaulting your body’s functioning, but by naturally paving the way for smooth, comfortable digestion!

Here’s how.

5 Ways to stay heartburn-free

1) Make your meals easier on your system

When you structure your meals carefully and pair together the right foods so that your stomach and intestines can tackle them more easily, your digestion improves DRAMATICALLY.

In other words: No more fire in your chest and sleeping propped up on pillows!

I will show you exactly what to in the Great Taste No Pain health system.

Follow it and you can see the fires of heartburn dim as quickly as your first meal!

Now don't worry -- you'll still be able to eat foods you love. You just need to be a little more careful about what you eat together so everything can be broken down efficiently.

And both systems include loads of delicious, easily digested creations that are sure to become some of your family's favorites.

Talk about a win-win--delicious meals AND no heartburn afterward!

2) Support your enzyme levels

Many people don’t realize this, but heartburn can be the result of too few digestive enzymes.

This may apply to you, especially if you’ve been a processed food fan for a while, if you’re over age 50, use purple pills or have had gastric surgery or gallbladder removal.

But never fear, because Digestizol Max digestive enzyme formula can help pinch-hit where your body may be running short in enzymes.

Digestizol Max is loaded with 15 natural, plant-derived enzymes (so it's even OK for vegetarians) that will give your body a boost in breaking down everything you could possibly eat--proteins, starches, carbs and fats alike.

Plus, its herbal formula can help soothe an inflamed digestive tract.

3) Quit the butts

Here's yet another addition to the long resume of health disasters caused by smoking.  The toxins and chemicals in cigarette smoke encourage overproduction of acid in your stomach and can lead to some serious heartburn.

There are many smoking cessation programs and aides out there--pick the one that's right for you and do it.

Now don't get discouraged if you fall off the wagon!  Most ex-smokers report having to try several times before they kicked the habit for good.  Just keep trying!

4) Chiropractic treatment

The nerves along your spinal cord are closely tied with the vagus nerve, which wraps around your digestive organs.  So having something awry with your spine can actually affect your digestion.

Many people have gotten tremendous relief from heartburn and indigestion with chiropractic adjustments.

5) Use a safe, natural herbal blend for occasional heartburn

Let’s face it—most of us overindulge in lots of different foods now and then, especially at parties, celebrations and holidays.

And end up with heartburn afterward!

That’s when a soothing herbal remedy like Gastro BeCalm Blend can be your saving grace!

Gastro BeCalm Blend combines four of the most effective, well-proven herbs that soothe and calm a stressed stomach and encourage more comfortable digestion, easing heartburn and digestive pain.

Here are the 4 herbal superstars in this wonderfully effective remedy:

Mastic Gum: Studies have shown that mastic gum kills Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacteria—the bacteria that causes most stomach ulcers!

Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Root:  Licorice is one of the most important herbs of traditional Chinese medicine used to address stomach and intestinal problems.  It has been touted in studies to be very effective for heartburn, as well as nausea, indigestion and stomach pain.

Ginger Root: A proven antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, ginger has been used for centuries to treat digestive issues like ulcers, nausea, stomach pain and gas.  Ginger has also been cited in studies to inhibit the growth of H. pylori bacteria and reduce inflammation.

Marshmallow Root: Marshmallow has demulcent (soothing) properties and it helps protect inflamed internal tissues.  It can ease or prevent heartburn, stomach ulcer symptoms, diarrhea and constipation.

  • I love some of your recipes but for me, a grocery list and weekly meal menu for two would be nice. Some of the vegetable ingredients were just a once used and I had tons left over to throw away.

  • I bought the Great Taste, No Pain recipe book used but it had NO information about how the food combining is supposed to happen. Where do I find the food combining rules?
