A disturbing trend in our society today

A disturbing trend in our society today

In addition to being the month in which yours truly was born, August is also National Wellness Month.

And while that sounds very virtuous and positive, based on my observations, there isn’t a lot of “wellness” going on.

The statistics are downright shocking:  Nearly 75 percent of us are overweight or obese, seven out of 10 of us take one or more prescription medications every day, over 70 percent have digestive problems and half of us suffer from at least one chronic disease.

Yeah, I wouldn’t exactly call that “wellness.”  Not when it’s the norm to be sick and you are an oddball if you’re not.

Unfortunately, our current system of modern medicine is largely to blame—because it’s focused on “medicine” to the exclusion of all else.

Here’s what I mean:

What is “medicine” really?

“Medicine” is defined as:  Any substance or substances used in treating disease or illness; medicament; remedy.

I don’t see where it states that the “substances” have to be synthetically created in a lab by a pharmaceutical company.

The fact is, nutrients and herbs have been used as remedies for centuries, but once synthetic pharmaceuticals hit the scene a little over 100 years ago, these safe, natural substances have been unjustly cast aside and poo-pooed as ineffective.

What boggles my mind is that drugs don’t actually “cure” a thing—all they do is interfere with, alter, suppress or thwart one or more of your body’s functions or processes in order to achieve a desired result—usually either covering up a symptom or forcing your body to conform to some perceived “normal” ranges such as cholesterol or blood pressure.

And the only way to keep getting that result is to keep taking the drug!

Let me clue you in--you’re not creating health here.  You’re creating a chemically-induced absence of symptoms and a nice revenue stream for drug companies.

Nutrients and herbs, on the other hand, help support your body’s efforts to heal itself and restore its inner balance to a proper state of function and health.

See the difference?

So quite frankly, for most doctors to think drugs are the ONLY answer and that natural solutions are quackery proves one thing—money talks.  Remember that drug companies have deep pockets and heavily influence the curriculums in our medical schools, so from day one our doctors are being carefully programmed.

On the other hand, doctors take just one basic course in diet and nutrition in their 4 years of training (and no phytotherapy that I’m aware of).  So it’s easy to see why many of them believe diet doesn’t matter, and they typically are not the greatest sources of healthy diet information.

Get down to the business of creating HEALTH

While drugs are undoubtedly necessary at times, the fact is that we are far too dependent on them to create false health for us, and are opening up the door for dangerous side effects to boot.

But it can make an enormous difference to help your body along and supports its efforts to heal—in other words, work to create HEALTH (and a normal bodyweight)!

Here’s how:

1- Rely on the farmer—not the pharmacist

See what a difference it can make to use food as your medicine with the right diet and sound digestion!

I can guide you through this important step with my Great Taste No Pain health system.

Great Taste No Pain stresses the importance of wholesome real foods like fresh vegetables and fruits, meats, poultry and fish, real butter and healthy fats.

Plus it teaches you the science of food combining which shows you how to pair foods together in your meals to pave the way for smoother, more comfortable digestion.

This is crucial because if your digestion is poor, in addition to gas, bloating, heartburn and constipation being your regular companions, you will not be absorbing nutrients like you should, and that sets the stage for disease to come knocking.

With Great Taste No Pain you'll also get menu suggestions, and a collection of delicious, easy recipes that make eating for great health thoroughly enjoyable!

2- Support your gut microbiome

Many pharmaceutical drugs can be murder on your gut microbiome—this is especially true of antibiotics, acid reducers, pain medications, antidepressants and steroids.

The beneficial bacteria in your intestinal tract house 70-80 percent of your immune system as well as help keep your digestion smooth and efficient.

So if you're lacking a strong, healthy population of helpful microbes in your gut, your digestion is most assuredly compromised, and your immune function may be weakened—so you are without its vital protection against disease.

In addition to having a healthy diet of real foods, supplementation with a potent multi-strain probiotic like Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula can go a long way in supporting a healthy gut environment.

Super Shield's 13 high-quality strains of potent friendly bacteria are ready to help strengthen your gut wall, enhance your digestion, encourage regular BMs and beef up your immune system.

3- Get enough water

If Ronald Reagan was President last time you drank anything but soda, coffee, Monsters or alcohol, it’s time to change that.

Your body is about 75 percent water, and it’s the primary component of all your body’s fluids—blood, lymph, digestive enzymes, urine, tears and sweat.  Plus it’s involved in almost every bodily function—circulation, digestion, nutrient absorption and elimination of wastes, to name a few.

Even your ability to heal from injuries depends on water!  When you get hurt, your bloodstream carries its repair substances to the injury site, and that bloodstream is about 81 percent water.

And of course your skin needs water—it’s the best anti-aging skin “tonic” there is!

A good barometer is take the number of pounds you weigh and drink at least half that number in ounces of filtered water.

For example, a person weighing 150 pounds should drink about 75 ounces of water a day.

4- Search out natural remedies for problems

In nearly every instance, there is a safe, natural answer to health issues.

For example, our Gastro BeCalm Blend contains 4 soothing herbs (mastic gum, marshmallow, ginger and licorice) that are VERY effective in easing occasional heartburn.

And the herbs in Optimal Yeast Support Blend counteract Candida (yeast) overgrowth, without the dangers of antibiotics!

5- Get regular exercise

Pick an activity that you like or will at least tolerate and do it 4 to 5 times a week.  Even brisk walking is good and practically everyone can do that!

Just be sure to get your doctor’s OK before beginning an exercise program.

6- Reduce stress

Stress causes harmful changes to your gut microbiome and weakens your immune function, so do what you must to reduce stress in your life.

Regular exercise has been shown to be extremely helpful, as well as counseling, prayer, deep breathing, massage, acupuncture, and even adopting a pet!

Now you are armed with truly effective strategies to help make a healthier you!

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • My ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough.
