Is weight loss your 2020 resolution? Don’t do this!

Have you made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight in 2020?

If so, you’re certainly not alone.  Losing weight is consistently one of the top resolutions that people make on December 31st of each year.

But sadly, most will go on to fail and completely abandon their resolution by mid-February.

If this sounds like you, then listen up.

Because the pharmaceutical industry knows that you’re struggling to lose weight, and in their insatiable greed they will play upon that with their dangerous chemical concoctions, hoping that you are desperate enough to give it a shot.

In this case, I’m specifically referring to the weight loss drug Contrave.

The commercial for Contrave starts by making the offer to talk to a doctor online about Contrave, and stresses that it is FDA approved.  (Never mind that the FDA has approved, and subsequently retracted, countless deadly drugs, including other weight loss drugs.  Remember Phen-fen?)

Then you see a shiny brain graphic and are told that the drug acts upon your hunger center (“I’m so hungry”) and your reward system (“Ice cream, French fries.”)

Then it cuts to an overweight actress who, presumably after taking the drug, is cheerfully exercising on a treadmill, trying on new (smaller) clothes, and smiling as she effortlessly says no to the dessert tray in a restaurant.

What a crock.

Here’s the real truth about Contrave that is glossed over in the commercial:

It’s 2 drugs in one

Contrave is a mixture of two brain-altering drugs—bupropion (Wellbutrin), which is an antidepressant and naltrexone (Vivitrol), an alcohol/opioid withdrawal drug.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t get a warm fuzzy about chemicals altering my brain function, let alone two different ones at once.

It “may” work

The commercial is carefully worded when it explains how these chemical “work” (emphasis and words in parentheses are mine):

CONTRAVE combines these medicines and is believed (but not proven) to work on two areas of your brain—the hunger center and the reward system—to reduce hunger and help control cravings.

So they “believe” this is what happens, but they’re not sure.

Therefore you’re a guinea pig if you use this crap.  Good luck with that.

Weight loss at what price?

As you’re seeing images of the actress in the commercial looking so happy with her (apparent) weight loss, you hear a quick summary of the common side effects.

Here is a more thorough listing of potential side effects and adverse reactions:

  • Thoughts about suicide or dying
  • Attempts to commit suicide
  • Depression (even though half of this pill is an antidepressant—how’s that for a kicker?)
  • Anxiety; feeling agitated or restless
  • Panic attacks
  • Insomnia
  • Irritability; aggression, anger, or violence
  • Acting on dangerous impulses; an extreme increase in activity and talking; other unusual changes in behavior or mood
  • Manic episodes (in other words, you become psychotic)
  • Seizures
  • Liver damage or hepatitis
  • Risk of opioid overdose (another irony—this pill contains an opioid withdrawal drug!)
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Increases in blood pressure or heart rate
  • Visual problems (angle-closure glaucoma)
  • Increased risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

But hey, you might take some weight off.

Stop the madness!

Listen, if you want to lose weight, I commend you and I’m here to help you!  And the great news is that there are safe, natural ways you can address both the physical and the psychological aspects of weight loss.

Here’s how:

Physical

The formula here is fourfold: Diet, sound digestion, getting regular exercise, and counteracting other outside factors that are packing the pounds on you.

In other words, my REAL weight loss formula as detailed in my book, Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting!

Here is some more information on each of those:

Diet

Eating nutritious real foods is VITAL to weight loss!

I’m talking about foods like meats, fish, poultry, fresh vegetables, eggs, healthy fats like olive oil, real butter and coconut oil and dairy.

At the same time, avoiding grains, sugars, soda and refined carbs is a must.

In Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting! I’ll guide you on what to eat (and what to avoid!), plus you’ll get a book of 170 delicious, easy recipes that you and your family will love!

Digestion

Sound digestion is key to weight loss too!  When you are not digesting properly, your cells don’t get the nutrients they need to produce energy.  At that point, a vicious cycle is created where excess wastes and toxins accumulate, and you store glucose as fat.

In Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting! I’ll explain the dietary science of food combining, which centers on pairing foods together in your meals that break down easier in your system.  It just requires a few simple tweaks to the foods you eat together, and I guarantee you will see the difference immediately!

In addition, a full-spectrum probiotic like Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula can also help with digestion by assisting your body in breaking down fiber and supporting nutrient absorption.

Lastly, enzyme deficiencies are very common (especially among the elderly, people who use antacids and people who have had gastric surgery), and in those cases a complete digestive enzyme formula like Digestizol Max can be a Godsend in boosting your digestion.

Exercise

The reason most people give up on exercise programs is because they don’t like what they’re doing, they get board and/or it’s no fun.

Well, in Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting!  I’ll show you how to choose the exercise activity that is right for YOU, and give you tips on how to have fun and stay motivated!

Psychological and other

There are many other outside factors that you might not even be aware of that are secretly sabotaging your weight loss efforts and/or packing the pound on you.

Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting! explains 13 of the most powerful negative factors that may be sidetracking your weight loss efforts and more importantly, how to blast through and overcome them!

In addition, hypnosis has been shown in many cases to help with cravings and unhealthy feelings and attitudes about food.  Even though it may be poo-poo’d by mainstream medicine, many people have sworn by it and it’s certainly safe enough to give it a shot—no deadly side effects to worry about here!

Also, acupuncture can help with weight loss.  Acupuncture helps balance your hormones (including hunger hormones), it helps increase endorphins (your body’s feel-good chemicals), it helps reduce stress (the stress hormone cortisol causes stress eating and binging), and it improves digestion.

Lastly, chiropractic adjustments can be helpful too.  When there are misalignments along the nerves in your spinal column, nerve communication is hampered and the signals controlling hunger and eating can be affected.  In addition, people with back pain often have trouble exercising, which contributes to weight gain.

Make 2020 the year you successfully and SAFELY reach your weight loss goals!

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • Hi Russ!

We are thrilled that you enjoyed weight loss with GTNP! To help kick start more weight loss, we offer these tips for your consideration:

-Check your food portions to ensure you’re eating enough to be comfortable full and nothing beyond that.

-Exercise at least 30-45 minutes each day. Exercise is crucial to not only weight loss and toning, but to your overall health as well.

-Watch what you drink. Don’t drink your calories! Water is the best – filtered whenever possible. Electrolyte replacement is recommended for any workout over 45 minutes.

-Consider a probiotic supplement to help support your immunity and reduce inflammation while encouraging the body to eliminate built up wastes that can bog you down.

Stay diligent! Consistency is key, even if the weight is not falling off at the same pace. Keep in mind that the slowing down of weight loss is normal and your body is not meant to keep that same rate until you reach a certain weight. You will get there!
