Enjoy your vacation without gaining an ounce!

As you are reading this right now, I am 35,000 feet in the air on my way to Aruba.

Aruba is one of my favorite places in the whole world.  I’ve been to other lovely tropical places—the US Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Mexico, the Bahamas—but nothing beats Aruba’s beauty, local community and incredibly friendly people.

Well, let’s put it this way—this is my 9th time going there, so I think you can tell how much I love it!

I’ll be looking forward to a lot of things—delicous seafood, snuba diving, kayaking, lounging by the pool, walking along the beach, yummy frozen daiquris and shopping.

But the really cool part is, I know I won’t gain a single ounce!

That's right.  Every time I go on vacation, I return home at the EXACT SAME WEIGHT as when I left (and sometimes even a pound or two lighter).

And I even indulge in a few desserts too!

It can be done.  And if I can do it, so can YOU.

Here’s how:

The 3 keys to NOT gaining weight on vacation:

1- Work in some exercise every day

There is definitely no room for excuses when it comes to exercising on vacation!

You have 1,440 minutes each day to lounge by the pool, eat delicious foods, enjoy the night life and get quality sleep.  Take just 60 of those minutes each day and walk, run, play tennis, swim or whatever you like to do.

I’m training for a marathon right now, but I won’t let being 2,146 miles away in Aruba stop me from my training—I’ll be banging out 10-mile runs on the hotel treadmill.

Resorts typically offer some type of workout facilities including cardio equipment and weights, and many offer classes like yoga or stretching on the beach, kickboxing or water aerobics.

And of course, a nice daily walk along the beach allows you to enjoy the beauty around you as you’re getting healthful exercise!

2- Indulge, but keep it real

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying exotic foods or desserts while you’re on vacation, but make sure that at least 75-80 percent of what you’re eating is real food--fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and poultry, fish and seafood, eggs and healthy fats.

When I travel, I allow myself to indulge in some pretty rich foods and a sweet treat here and there--I just made sure to buffer them with enough salads, veggies and other good stuff.

Plus make sure you are drinking enough water!  This is not the time to get lax with your water intake—you should still be drinking at least eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day.  If you are traveling to an area where you are not sure about the local drinking water, opt for bottled water instead.

By the way, Aruba is known for its pure local drinking water!  Aruba has the second largest saltwater desalination plant in the world and is capable of producing 11.2 million of gallons of pure, distilled water per day.

3- Pamper your gut microbiome

This is by far the most important point of all.

When you’re away on vacation, you are VERY susceptible to bacterial contamination of food or water, as well as constipation, gas, bloating or diarrhea from eating foods that you might not be used to.

Since a healthy gut and regular bowel movements are essential to maintaining your weight, it’s crucial to make sure you continue to pamper your gut microbiome while on vacation with a much-needed dose of friendly bacteria in Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula.

In addition to encouraging strong gut health, Super Shield also supports sound immune function…which in turn can help prevent you from getting sick from germ-loaded airplanes, airports, cabs and hotel rooms!

Remember, maintaining your weight on vacation AND all year round isn’t rocket science.

If you abide by these few simple principles, and treat your body right 12 months a year, it will return the favor with health, energy and forgiveness for your indulgences.

Start now.  You'll love the results and you'll never look back...well, except maybe to glance in a mirror and see how great your bathing suit looks on you.  J

And yes, the picture up above is me in Aruba last year, getting ready to snuba dive!

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • Hello Bernard,

    Thank you for contacting us!
It is always best to keep Super Shield cool whenever possible. However, room temperature will not decrease the potency while travelling. When you are able to, we recommend that you place it the refrigerator. We also recommend that you bring enough with you for the time you will be away, as opposed to bringing the whole bottle. You can keep them in a small plastic container.

We hope we have been helpful. Have a wonderful day!

  • When I travel the probiotic is not refrigerated. Will this make it ineffective
