Stop breast cancer before it occurs

Stop breast cancer before it occurs

Someone very dear to me is undergoing reconstructive surgery today as a follow-up to her breast cancer surgery last year.

Thankfully she discovered it in the early stages and is now cancer-free.

And the one thing this brave, beautiful and intelligent woman continues to trumpet to everyone she knows is that women must take it upon themselves to find out how to PREVENT breast cancer!

She’s right on.  So much of mainstream medicine’s focus on breast cancer lies in treatment of the cancer once it occurs.

Well, how about teaching women how to prevent it in the first place?!

Alas, yours truly will step in and tell you what you must know...

A closer look at breast cancer

Breast cancer is a hormonally-related cancer, and here’s how things get stirred up.

Hormones are your body’s chemical messengers that transport signals from one cell to another and control pretty much everything your body does.

For example, adrenaline is a hormone produced by your adrenal glands that causes your pupils to dilate, your heart to race and your breathing to increase when you sense danger.

Hormones sail through your bloodstream looking for a “receptor site” on your cells, so they can latch on and carry out their intended purpose.

But a problem arises when there are hormones in your bloodstream that can’t find receptor sites—then they end up circulating through your body and can cause a variety of health problems, including cancer.

This is how excess estrogen is related to breast cancer.

What about genetics?

Although testing is now frequently done for the BRCA-1, BRCA-2 and p53 genetic mutations, the fact remains that only about 5-10 percent of breast cancers are the result of genetics.

And even if you happen to possess a gene that predisposes you to breast cancer, that is not a guarantee you will get the disease!  Fact is, genes can lie dormant for a lifetime until and unless they are “awakened” into action, typically through poor lifestyle habits.

Our toxic world doesn’t help either

We live in a toxic world, and many of these toxins are connected to hormone-related cancers like breast cancer.

Especially guilty are substances known as endocrine disruptors.  Endocrine disruptors damage your hormone production and usage, and negatively affect cell growth, development and metabolism.

Unfortunately, endocrine disruptors are everywhere.  Here are some of the most common and dangerous ones:

  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Heavy metals like arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury. Mercury is the worst one and is found in amalgam dental fillings, high fructose corn syrup and vaccines (especially flu shots!).
  • Phthalates found in hard plastics
  • PCBs and dioxins which are the result of many manufacturing processes

Xenoestrogens—deadly imitators

Xenoestrogens are substances from the environment that mimic estrogen in your body.

It’s bad enough if your body has excess estrogen that you’ve produced, but then when you add in the effects of xenoestrogens, you are dialing up your breast cancer risk tremendously!

So where are these xenoestrogens coming from?

Hormone-laden meats, eggs and dairy products!  Estrogen is fed to conventionally-raised cattle and chickens to increase their meat, milk and egg production.  And when you eat these foods, that excess estrogen becomes a part of YOU.

Prevention is where it’s at!

When it comes to breast cancer, prevention is where it’s at!

Here are 4 of the best ways that you can help dramatically slash your risk:

1) Beef up your immune system

A healthy immune system detects and engulfs cancer cells and destroys them, so clearly you don’t want to be without its protection.

Here are 4 effective ways you can boost your immune function, so it can carry out this important job:

  • Reduce stress
  • Get enough sleep
  • Use antibiotics ONLY if absolutely necessary
  • And most importantly, supplement with a full-spectrum, complete probiotic formula like Super Shield!

Super Shield’s carefully designed blend of 13 superb probiotic strains has been supporting strong immune health (and better digestion!) for hundreds of thousands of satisfied clients for nearly a decade!

I love to hear so many of our dear clients tell us how they can’t remember the last time they were sick, or how gas and constipation are a thing of the past for them!

2)  Get enough Vitamin D

Both the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society estimate that at least 35 percent of all cancers are diet-related.

Especially important with breast cancer prevention is Vitamin D!

A recent study at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and published in the journal PLOS ONE found that that women with higher blood concentrations of vitamin D had a significantly lower risk of breast cancer—to the tune of one-fifth the risk of those who had lower vitamin D levels!

Since vitamin D is a very common deficiency and food sources are limited, one of the best ways to get what your body needs is to take with a medical grade supplement like Optimum DK Formula with FruiteX-B!

Optimum DK Formula provides a therapeutic 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3, plus its immune-enhancing partners Vitamins K1 and K2, and the mineral boron.

3)  Have the right diet

Be sure to incorporate lots of cancer-fighting cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and cabbage into your diet.

Also, strive to buy organic, hormone-free meat, milk and eggs.

Avoid processed foods, sugars and refined carbs.  Foods like these do nothing but make you sick, overweight and a great home for cancer.  Sugar literally FEEDS cancer cells!

Lastly, make sure you’re drinking at least eight 8-oz. glasses of filtered water a day, and keep the booze under control (1-2 glasses, preferably with a meal).

4) Opt for breast thermography over mammograms

Mammograms only detect cancer once it has occurred--they do nothing to prevent it!

And even if you have a negative mammogram, you don’t necessarily have a clean bill of health—you still might have breast cancer, but the tumor just isn’t large enough to be detected.

Plus studies show that mammograms are frequently incorrect (about 20 percent false negatives and 20-50 percent false positives), and they expose you to dangerous cancer-causing ionizing radiation!

A much safer, proactive approach is thermography.

Thermography doesn’t provide an “internal picture” like a mammogram. Instead it measures the infrared heat emitted by your body and translates that information into thermal images.

Thermography can detect signs of physiological changes due to inflammation and/or tumor related blood flow up to 8-10 years before mammography or a physical exam can detect a mass!

Now you are armed with the information you need to help reduce your breast cancer risk!

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • Hi there,
Do not want to alarm people who are having breast reconstruction but breast implants are not the answer as there are problems with that too. They are not natural and they leak especially the silicone ones if you sit one on the table you will see the moisture that comes off them without being ruptured. Please be aware as there have been thousands of people who have died as a result these results have not been published. I had mine removed as I wanted to see my daughter grow up with her Mother. Do not believe all the hype that the new ones are safe…..nobody can promise that.
