Why you’re not losing weight…and how to change that

I talk to a lot of women between the ages of 40 and 65+, and the most common complaint I hear is, “I’ve tried everything, but I can’t seem to lose weight!”

I have a few questions about that.

First of all, have you truly tried “everything?”  Or do you keep going back to same old diet that failed you in the past?  Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a definition of insanity.

Or, by trying “everything” does that mean you’re a sucker for every fad diet or celebrity craze that comes along?  If so, that’s the problem.  The actor Josh Brolin recently burned his anal area severely trying a new fad for getting Vitamin D by exposing his “netherworld” to the sun.  That’s how reliable fads are.

And are you just “trying” or DOING?  As Master Yoda would say, “Do or do not.  There is no try.”  If your “trying” means you diet for a few weeks, don’t get the results you want, so you quit, well, take a word of advice from Yoda.

That being said, there are some common pitfalls that people run into when trying to lose weight, and unless you do something about them, you will continue on your “I’ve tried everything” road.

Here is what to watch out for, and how you can finally achieve weight loss success!

Pitfall #1: All you do is eat healthy

A wholesome diet of real foods is step one when it comes to losing weight.  In order to achieve a healthy bodyweight, you simply MUST give your body the nourishing foods it needs, while at the same time avoiding nutrient-poor foods that pack the pounds on you and stir up inflammation.

But that’s only half of the equation, my friend.

The other half is…you know what’s coming…regular exercise.

I don’t care who you are.  You simply will not achieve your weight loss goals and/or maintain your weight without getting regular exercise.

This becomes increasingly important as we age because our metabolism slows down with each decade, but our appetites don’t necessarily decrease in proportion!

Pitfall #2:  You think your workouts will save you

If you work out on a regular basis, congratulations!  Give yourself a big pat on the back from me.

However, some people who work out think that since they’re burning so many calories exercising, that their diet doesn’t matter, or they’ve “earned” the right to indulge more than they should.

WRONG!

NO amount of exercise can undo the health wrecking effects of a nutrient-poor, junk or fast-food diet.

Sure, you might take weight off, but your innards will come to resemble a clogged toilet.  Eventually inflammation will set in, aches and pains will pop up, and you will become an attractive home to sickness and disease.

Once that happens, your workouts will go out the window and the tide will roll in…on your backside.

Pitfall #3:  You see a “diet” as a temporary thing

Most people have the wrong idea about the word “diet.”

They think of going “on a diet” as a temporary thing, and once they lose weight, they don’t need to “diet” any longer.

Then they ultimately put the weight they lost back on and then some.

Sound familiar?

But when you instead stop seeing a diet as a temporary thing, and embrace that it should truly mean a healthy eating lifestyle, that is when you can finally reach your goal weight and stay there!

When you eat nutritious real foods 365 days a year (with a few exceptions here and there on special occasions and holidays!), there are no more “diets.”  There’s just you nourishing your body like it needs to be, every single day, for life.

And never worrying about the scale again.

Pitfall #4:  You think digestion doesn’t matter

Some people think the only thing that matters is what they eat, and if they eat good food, all is well.

Not so fast.

Because if your digestion is not going along so well, that could be slowing or sabotaging your weight loss efforts.  Sound digestion is crucial to weight loss (and prevention of disease too).

Be honest.  Seven out of 10 of us have some type of digestive issue, so if constipation or heartburn are your regular companions, admit you have a digestive issue.

Now what?

Now that you know the common pitfalls that are working against you with weight loss, you’re probably wondering what to do now.

Glad you asked.  This is where I step in and help you.

Now, I’m not someone that just sits behind a desk with my degree on the wall telling you what to do (and not doing it myself).

Nope—everything I’ve suggested above is HOW I LIVE MY LIFE.  I embrace a healthy eating lifestyle 365 days a year, stick to nourishing real foods, work out 6 days a week doing karate and running, and pave the way for sound digestion.

Oh, and I’m 57 years old, consistently maintain my 120-pound bodyweight and wear a size 2.

And if I can do it, so can you.

Here’s what you need to do:

1- Use my REAL Weight Loss Formula in Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting!

These can include certain medications, environmental toxins, stress, food additives and much more!

I will guide you on what to watch out for, how to tell what may be affecting you, and how to overcome those barriers to your success!

2- Support your body’ efforts with supplements

Here are two supplement suggestions to help your body along and support your weight loss goals:

Super Shield Multi-Strain probiotic formula

If you’ve been a carb and sugar fan for a while, or if constipation is your BFF, chances are excellent you’ve got some major imbalances in your gut microbiome.

Since the friendly microbes in your gut help with digestion and nutrient absorption, supporting these intestinal good guys with a full-spectrum probiotic like Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula is a must.

Digestizol Max digestive enzyme formula

Many people are running low in their ability to produce enough enzymes for digestion.

That’s especially likely if you’re over 50, use antacids, have a history of eating lots of processed foods, or have had gastric or gallbladder surgery.

But you can get tremendous relief from your digestive troubles by helping your body along with a complete enzyme formula like Digestizol Max!

Now you are on track for true weight loss success!

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • I started taking Digestizol Max. After a few days, I felt a burning in my stomach, so I stopped taking them. Should I have continued to see if my system got used to them?
