This is a sure path to disease and death

I have a good one for you today.

I was in the checkout line of my local supermarket yesterday and the cashier held up the head of cabbage I was buying and asked, “What’s this?”  Intrigued, I replied, “Green cabbage.”

OK, so maybe they’re not cabbage eaters in his family.

Then he asked what my sweet potatoes were.  You’re kidding, right?  Wrong.

Then the icing on the cake was when he asked me what kind of apples I was buying…

I wasn’t buying apples—I was buying nectarines.

All I could think to myself was, is this what we are becoming?  Are we SO far removed from what real food is that our young people can’t even identify fruits and vegetables?

My son Mickey’s friend Ethan is no different.  This kid has lived on Hot Pockets, chicken nuggets, fries and Mountain Dew for most of his 20 years.  Mick lectures him all the time, and the funny thing is, Ethan loves staying for dinner at our house and having a home-cooked meal!

The dangers of eating “stuff” vs. food

Sadly, more and more of what we’re eating is not real food at all—it’s “stuff.”  Highly processed, loaded with chemicals, with lists of ingredients you can’t even pronounce and a far cry from anything that has ever appeared in Nature.

And besides the obvious consequence of eating “stuff” instead of food—not getting any nutrients to speak of other than the few that are added in to make the products appear healthy, plus no appreciable fiber—here are the other health consequences of a diet high in “stuff”:

1- Refined carbohydrates-the disease king

The refined carbohydrates (especially high fructose corn syrup) in processed stuff are a leading contributing factor in heart disease, insulin resistance, Type 2 diabetes, cancer, poor immune function, leaky gut, dementia and of course obesity.

Plus high fructose corn syrup is typically made from GMO corn and has been found to contain mercury—the deadliest neurotoxin known to man.

2- Salt-2 easy ways to get high blood pressure

The salt in processed stuff can stir up hypertension in two ways.  First of all, too much sodium can increase your blood volume and drive up blood pressure.

In addition, when you have too much sodium which is not counterbalanced by the proper amount of potassium (and a processed stuff diet is abysmal in terms of potassium), it leads to elevated calcium levels, which in turn makes the smooth muscle cells in your arteries contract, raising your blood pressure.

3- Processed and trans-fat nightmares

The trans-fats in processed stuff can lead to cancer, heart disease, diabetes, immune dysfunction, mood swings, obesity and accelerated aging.

And even though trans-fats are supposed to be getting removed from our food supply, processed foods manufacturers also use heated polyunsaturated oils, which create deadly compounds similar to trans-fats and are equally harmful to your health.

So we’re no better off.  Don’t be fooled by clever marketing.

4- Chemical onslaught

Your body was NOT designed to metabolize chemicals (such as artificial flavors, colors and preservatives) day in and day out.

Chemicals have to be processed by your system as a “poison”—this stresses your liver (your primary organ of detoxification) as well as your kidneys (when secreting the toxins through your urine).

Eventually your body may have trouble completely eliminating the excess wastes from chemical detoxification, and instead they may be reabsorbed into circulation.

From there they can then accumulate in the blood (robbing it of oxygen), invade your organs and tissues (and impair their functioning) and create a dirty, acidic environment in you that invites disease.

5- Digestive woes

Since processed stuff is not actually food that is meant to be in your body, it requires a tremendous amount of digestive enzymes to be broken down, and is a primary trigger of heartburn, gas, bloating and constipation.

REAL is best

Your body was designed to consume REAL foods.  They are what your body depends on for nourishment, sound digestion and proper elimination of wastes.

There’s no getting around it—if you want to remain disease-free, be at a healthy weight and live a long life, you MUST eat real foods—NOT stuff!

If you need some guidance on creating delicious meals featuring scrumptious, nutritious real foods, my Great Taste No Pain system can help.

First of all, Great Taste No Pain lives up to the “great taste” promise—the recipes in the system are positively delicious!

Plus, Great Taste No Pain also comes through on the “no pain” part too—because it shows you which foods to pair together in your meals for better digestion and less gas, bloating and heartburn.

Support your body’s digestive efforts!

If you've been a processed stuff lover for a while (be honest), chances are excellent you may have some degree of enzyme deficiency going on.

As I mentioned earlier, processed foods require enormous amounts of enzymes to be broken down, and sooner or later your body may have trouble producing enough for your needs.

But you can help support your body’s digestive efforts with a top-notch enzyme formula like Digestizol Max.

Digestizol Max’s carefully designed complete blend of 15 plant-based enzymes targets all kinds of foods, including proteins, carbohydrates, sugars, fats and fibers in your diet.

Digestizol Max works along with your body’s own enzymes help break down ALL of your foods completely just as Nature intended.  This encourages smoother digestion, less heartburn and gas, and more regular BMs.

And because the enzymes in Digestizol Max are all plant-based, it is perfect for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike!

Have your bases covered

If the thought of incorporating more real food into your diet is sending tidal waves of fear through you, I understand.  Take baby steps and gradually make positive changes, like having an apple (or nectarine LOL!) for a snack instead of a candy bar or chips, or choose a bottle of water over soda.

And to make sure all of your nutritional bases are covered during your transition and beyond, Super Core multi-vitamin and mineral formula is your ticket.

Super Core contains a health-supporting blend of essential vitamins and minerals, plus the added benefit of natural sources of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories.

This is crucial because a processed stuff diet can stir up lots of inflammation and trigger free radical damage in your system—and that spells DISEASE!  So you need to counteract those health wreckers every way you can.

Now you are on a sure path to a healthier, disease-free life!  I can’t think of anything nicer than that.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • Hello Guy,

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience. If you look to the upper left hand corner of the box, you should see a small white X just above the edge of the box, that you can click to stop the rotating notification of purchases. We hope this helps!

  • The food you buy in the grocery store , farmer’s market, or even health food stores or not healthy any more either. You will be lucky to get them home before they die. Our lettuce has been frozen; Eat it for dinner or it will be dead.

  • HOW CAN I SUPPRESS THE POP-UPS THAT TOUT “SO AND SO BOUGHT THIS OR THAT”? THEY BLOCK OUT SOME OF THE TYPE WHEN I AM TRYING TO PRINT THE ARTICLE. A REAL PITA.

  • I can’t agree with you more. I’m 83 now and have been trying to get my wife to read labels on the stuff she buys, including my seven children and several older grandchildren. It’s a real struggle, and depressing to hear their responses, " I haven’t got time to read the labels on the stuff" or "I’m not really interested "or “I don’t want to argue with you” I say that it’s not an argument, it’s fact. It’ a real struggle, and the result’s are minimal with only about 20% of my whole family of 27. We’ve got a lot of educating o to do our families and friends and many don’t care; they like their lifestyles too much. Enough said!
