COVID 19—what you might not have thought of

I don’t often do this, but for the last few days I have forced myself to sit and watch the mainstream news in the morning and evening.

And all I can say is it’s no wonder that people in the US (and in other countries around the world) are frantic.

First off, COVID-19 coverage COMPLETELY monopolizes the program.  It’s as if everything else in the entire world has come to a standstill.

A large emphasis is placed on the death toll and newly diagnosed cases.

And the fear-mongering is blatantly obvious!  Words and expressions like “massive,” “unprecedented,” “crisis,” “deadly,” “troubling,” “trauma,” “record number,” “overwhelmed,” “more than any other nation,” “struggling to cope” and so forth are thrown at the viewer constantly, as images of ambulances, body bags and crowded emergency rooms fill the screen.

It’s no wonder so many are in a panic.  I wouldn’t be surprised if people began looking out their window to see if the grim reaper was standing there.

Listen, I’m not going to say that Coronavirus isn’t serious.  ANY virus can be serious, especially to the more vulnerable.

But the purpose of this blog is to bring to light some facts that are NEVER mentioned in the mainstream news, and to hopefully change your focus from fear-based to wise precaution.

Here goes—let’s start with…

Looking at the numbers

As of this writing, according to the World Health Organization there have been 750,890 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 36,405 deaths worldwide.

That means 714,485 have SURVIVED!

Here in the US, we’ve got 140,640 confirmed cases and 2,398 deaths.

So out of a population of 330 million people, that is an infection rate of .04 percent (four one-hundredths of a percent) and a death rate of .0007 percent (seven ten-thousandths of a percent).

Plus, out of the 140,640 cases, 138,242 have SURVIVED.

And it’s pretty consistent worldwide that the largest death rate is in the 80+ population.  Unfortunately, due to many factors (that I have written thousands of blogs about) the elderly are far more likely to have chronic health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, COPD, cancer and compromised immune systems, and this raises the risk of succumbing to ANY kind of virus or infection.

Additionally, when you see numbers rising for new cases, that’s mainly because more testing is being done.  Many of these “new cases” are likely not “new” at all.

Comparatively speaking

If you watch the news, you might get the impression that this is the worst health issue our world has ever seen.

Not even CLOSE!

The 1918 Spanish flu pandemic affected about 500 million people worldwide of which 50 million died.

The 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic affected 60.8 million Americans, of which 12,469 died.

And every single year the flu and pneumonia (I must show the two together because the CDC lumps them together in their statistics and no longer provides a breakdown) cause or contribute to the deaths of approximately 50,000 – 60,000 people in the US.  The data on the CDC’s website from 2017 show 55,672 deaths due to flu and pneumonia.  In addition, although the actual number is not yet reported for 2018, the rate is very similar to 2017.

Ooops!

Another point I want to make is that there have been alleged “errors in editing” and inconsistencies reported by the powers that be that seem to promote fear-mongering and sensationalism.

For example, CBS News was recently caught showing a picture of a (desperate) hospital scene as it was covering the COVID-19 situation in New York City.

But the problem is the picture they were showing was actually from a hospital in Italy, which has a long history of an inadequate healthcare system.

Ooops.

CBS News has since apologized, calling it an “editing error.”  And if you believe that, then there’s a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.

Also, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s chief infectious disease specialist and one of the main advisors to President Trump on the COVID-19 situation, has provided two very different descriptions.  To the press he stated that the current coronavirus is, “10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu.”

But to his colleagues his characterized it as similar to a bad flu season.

Which is it doc?

What now?

I hope the information above has given you some perspective on what’s really going on here.

Yes, COVID-19 is serious, but so is every other virus in the world.

It’s important to stay informed, but I must caution you to please avoid staying glued to the news night and day.  Manipulation, fear-mongering and brainwashing are very real things.

Don’t open yourself up to be a sheep.  Look at the situation for what it really is and think for yourself.  Excellent sources of reliable news coverage include Sharyl Attkisson, Jefferey Jaxen and The Highwire by Del Bigtree.

Keep in mind the very positive statistics I quoted above!

Respect the CDC’s guidelines about slowing the spread—washing hands, avoid touching your face when in public, social distancing, sneezing into your elbow or a tissue, stay home if you are sick, disinfect surfaces in your home, etc.

And most importantly, take care of your immune system!  Because it is the single most significant factor that will determine if you get Coronavirus and if you do, how quickly you will recover.

As a reminder, here are my Top 7 Ways to Boost Your Immune System:

  • Take a daily multi-strain probiotic formula like Super Shield.
  • Nourish your gut with lots of fresh vegetables and fermented foods.
  • Drink 8 glasses of filtered water per day.
  • Get enough vitamin B12, vitamin C and vitamin D. (Remember our Hydroxaden B12 spray is now $5 off!)
  • Destress and get a good laugh every day. Lavender essential oil is a good stress reducer, and our very own Ocean Lavender oil is as good as it gets!
  • Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night.
  • Avoid sugars and refined carbs, including soda.

I continue to pray for all of you and for this situation to pass.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

  • Thank you very much Sherry for always giving sound facts and advice that I’ve trusted since early 2000’s. Yes! there’s been over the top fear spreading sensationalism. There is a agenda of course. If it’s okay to mention, recently I’ve heard a couple of interviews that shed mega light on that, inspite of youtube censoring/removing them. There are other sources. One interview was Judy Mikovits with Charlene Bollinger (TTAC) and another, J.M. withThomas Paine on his podcast. She authored a book, which I hope to get soon. that explains and exposes all that is going on (starting some time ago). It’s entitled “Plague of Corruption”. People need to be informed so we can take our freedom back before we can’t. Glo

  • As an important update to your very correct analysis of the essentially LOW death rate, Stanford U. study suggests that ( and Gov Cuomo of NY confirms) at least 10X but possibly 55 time more infections, making the death rate as low as 0.05%.
Currently as much as 93% of all infected have recovered or (MOST IMPORTANT) only have MILD SYMPTOMS.
This is what people need to know and be told, not the fear—mongering high # of cases, when the outcome is in general nothing more than Mild Symptoms.
Yes every death is tragic, but 4.5 million die every month worldwide, so this is a minor and unfortunate pinprick, taken in perspective of annual deaths form ALL CAUSES.

  • Here in the US. In order to be on track for an estimated ~100,000 deaths from coronavirus in the United States, and a peak of ~2,500 deaths per day, the University of Washington model cited by the White House and Mr. TRUMP
the US would expect 8.363 total deaths today.

The latest number is 8,488 deaths. We are over that number already. Dr. FAUCI is the only one speaking the truth.

  • Thank you for being extremely truthful regarding Covid-19. I think the New Normal for our country will be don’t believe the news media. Why are they so…..sensational. It’s time to find media that will give us facts not their opinion. Let’s listen to the old statement from the famous show Dragnet “All we want are the facts please.”

  • Wow Sherry,
I turned off ALL the news and it made for a very peaceful day of much needed cleaning of closets! Thank you for all your expert opinions and for recommending Sharyl. She’s excellent and I didn’t know where she had relocated. Blessings to you. You are just what we need.
