November is Diabetes Awareness Month, but based on what I see, all we are “aware” of is that the disease is spiraling out of control. Between 1990 and 2013, US diabetes rates skyrocketed by an incredible 71 percent. And even diabetes in children shot up 30 percent from 2001 to 2009! But what people REALLY need to be “aware” of is that Type 2 diabetes can be successfully controlled…or even reversed in many cases!
