A Christmas Eve-Eve Message from the Heart

On this very special “Christmas Eve-Eve,” I would like to share this heartfelt message with you:

Many people tend to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, but please try not to get stressed out. Christmas will be just as special even if you don’t get all the cookies baked or the cards sent out. (FYI—I just mailed my cards two days ago!)

A casual dinner is just as nice as an elaborate feast. It’s the people around your table that count—not whether you are having surf and turf or meatloaf.

Please don’t worry about getting the “perfect gift” for everyone on your list. Like Mom always said, it’s the thought that counts.

If you have financial challenges and can’t afford a fancy dinner or costly gifts, there is nothing wrong with keeping things very humble and simple. Remember, our Lord was born in a stable. It doesn’t get any humbler than that.

Think of those who are less fortunate than you. There are a variety of opportunities and ways to help share the Christmas spirit with others.

Pray for those who have lost loved ones recently. They are undoubtedly struggling to feel joyous right now.

Remember to show your pets some love—they are family members too! My three cats, Max, Timmy, and Callie, love getting their new Christmas toys and treats. I also buy gifts for my “grand cat” Riley and my “grand dogs” Haley and Hunter.

Most importantly, remember that Christmas is a time to reflect upon and be thankful for your blessings.

And when it comes to blessings, you, my dear reader, are one of my biggest.

So…

Thank you for reading my words.
Thank you for giving my work (and life) purpose and fulfillment.
Thank you for letting me guide you toward better health.
Thank you for putting your trust in me.

May the peace and love of our Savior be with you and yours on Christmas and throughout the year.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia
