7 Natural snoring remedies
  1. 1.  Eucalyptus oil helps clear congestion. Dab some on your chest and throat and use it in a vaporizer.
  2. 2.  Drink peppermint tea before bedtime, as it can also help with congestion.
  3. 3.  Eat simpler meals to avoid indigestion. Pair proteins OR starches (not both) with veggies.
  4. 4.  Take a daily probiotic to help ease allergies and protect against colds and sinus infections.
  5. 5.  Lose weight if you need to. Avoid refined carbs, stick to proteins and veggies, and exercise.
  6. 6.  Sleep on your side. Prop pillows up against your back to avoid rolling over.
  7. 7.  Limit alcohol before bedtime.

    • There is a UTube video that demonstrates exercises for sleep apnea by South Dakota State University for your tongue and throat. Gary Van Guilder . Sleep apnea exercise training. I am going to give them a try. They are not too hard to do. Hey, we exercise for everything else! I get tired of having a dry throat which probably puts my immune system on alert!

    • I’ve been following and saving your articles for years. After the guidance of other nutritionists for many years, currently are my main health and nutrition mentor.
      Thanks Sherry!
I don’t know whether I snore or not for I have no sleeping partner to tell me whether I do or don’t. I had a deviated septum surgically corrected years ago, but it grew back. Recently I was diagnosed for sleep apnea and have been using a CPAP machine ever sense. I’ll ask my doctor if it’s ok to use eucalyptus oil in it? The CPAP machine has me feeling better than ever with an increase in energy during the day. I’m not way overweight, but like you’ve suggested loosing excess baggage and exercise is advantageous. Alcohol has not touched my lips since college (1964) after I feel on my face at a party (lol . . . but no real damage)!
Sherry you’ve been doing exactly what you were put on Earth to do, so good job and please continue on!
Live long and well wishes Sherry,
      Warm regards,
      Rich

    • Hi Sherry, i enjoy reading you info.
I have finally figured out what causes the ringing in my left ear. When i eat too much sugar or salt my ear starts ringing. I will be just fine for days but then if I eat something sweet it starts ringing. It seems to ring also with too much salt. So it would appear that I’m slightly pre diabetic and the salt raises my blood pressure. If I’m careful with these foods I am not bothered with annoying ringing. It feels so good to finally know what causes it. I enjoy all the info on your site, thank you for helping people to get healthy.
